DarkArts Global conducts our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner that seeks to protect the environment. Our goal is to be a leader in sustainable practices by emphasising and encouraging innovative and creative solutions, and continually improving our environmental performance. We have embedded education and training for employees and seek to improve corporate governance and reporting of environmental metrics.
Guiding Principles
- To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- To integrate sustainability considerations into all our business decisions including procurement of goods and services, transport and distribution, and our daily operations.
- To ensure that all staff commit to incorporating the Sustainability Policy into daily activities
- To partner with our clients and suppliers to adopt the principles within our Sustainability Policy
- Share knowledge with our partners, clients and peers and encourage them to transition to a decarbonised economy.
- To measure, report and to set targets to demonstrate continual improvement in our sustainability performance on an annual basis.
Principles in Practice
Avoid
- Avoid the generation of transport emissions in our vehicles by walking, cycling, car-pooling and using public transport where practical when travelling to meetings and attending the office
- Substitute travel by using teleconference, video conferencing or alternate technologies where appropriate
- Avoid generation of waste and emissions at the outset through sustainable procurement
Reduce
- Reduce waste through considering the full life cycle of goods, equipment and packaging by ensuring end of life is accounted for in all purchases
- Support work from home arrangements through removing the need to travel and associated transport emissions
- Reduce energy consumption through minimum energy performance standards on purchased equipment and adopting energy efficient technologies and behaviour
Neutralise
- Where transport is unavoidable track and report on associated emissions and seek to offset where viable
- Seek to divert waste from landfill (avoiding harmful greenhouse gas emissions) by reusing and recycling where possible
- Purchase renewable electricity for our operations and support local renewable energy projects where possible
